Prairie Mountain Inn
"The hotel is very old, needs updating and maintenance. It was clean enough but had a very stale, stuffy smell. The shower and toilet area was very clean. There was a Keurig coffee maker, which was nice. The bed had loose, wrinkled sheets under an old bedspread that smelled very musty. The outlet in the bathroom area was burned and melted, so only one outlet was usable. There was an extension cord coming out from under the bed for phone charging and such. Had to pull the bed out to plug it back in and noticed the outlet and cover were broken, which is a hazard, seeing how the mattress pushes up against it. The gal at the front desk was friendly, but the door is locked, so in order to check in or out, you have to push a doorbell and wait for someone to come. We arrived at 9:00 am and left at 9:30 a.m., and neither time did the office have someone present. The traffic in and out leads one to believe the property may be used more as short-term housing rather than as a fulltime motel."
